BridgeQuest Internship

Goal:  Gain a better understanding of how an independent financial planning practice operates and real-life experience with helping a practice run efficiently in a client-centered manner. This is not a “make copies and deliver coffee” internship.  You will help prepare for client financial planning reviews, interact with clients, and be counted on to help with other facets of operating a boutique financial services firm.  This is a high trust position and does require background compliance check.

Date and Time:   2nd Semester, as close to Jan. 2nd as possible through mid-May 2020.

Hours:  15 to 20 hours per week. 9:00 am – 3:00 pm 3 days per week, but some flexibility.

Pay:  $12+ hour

Primary Tasks:

Calendar/Scheduling

  • Schedule client appointments
  • Help with pre-appointment call/email reminders
  • Schedule follow-up meetings

Meeting Prep

  • Manage meeting preparation process
  • Review and ensure all meeting items are ready

In-Meeting Help

  • Greet clients and prospects, provide welcoming environment
  • Make copies of statements/paperwork
  • Print forms as needed
  • Schedule follow-up meetings

CRM/Marketing

  • Access and pull lists from Redtail CRM software
  • Create and manage newsletters via Constant Contact
  • Understand compliance process for all communication
  • Update website with blog posts and events
  • Assist with company Social Media pages
  • Assist with planning and execution of client events

New Business & Client Follow-up

  • Run reports for account transfers
  • Call carriers as directed to ensure processing
  • Follow-up with clients when account transfers are complete
  • Process client files/scan documents following in-person meetings
  • Maintain up-to-date paper and paperless files

Proficiencies:

  • Must have familiarity with Microsoft applications, primarily basic Excel proficiency.
  • Aptitude to learn basics of office technology systems: Redtail/CRM, ClientWorks, FMG Suite
  • Friendly, professional attitude with a willingness to learn
